SAFETY
An operational 2-½ pound minimum fire extinguisher with gauge visible for inspection purpose is mandatory in each racecar
and tow vehicles. Extinguisher must be mounted in a quick release bracket. DUCT TAPE
IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE MOUNTING DEVICE.
Driver must wear approved: Snell-rated SA95, (SA95 will not be allowed in 2009), SA2000 or SA2005
racing helmet, fire suit, unaltered neck restraint and Nomex® gloves and shoes.
Vehicle must be equipped with a complete roll cage with HALO BAR, a five (5) point seat belt fastened
to the roll cage, window net (bolted on the bottom with a good safe fastener on the top), and a removable steering wheel.
ALL SUBJECT TO INSPECTION.
- Drivers head with helmet on must not rise above the roll bars
- Drivers must have and wear a head sock or helmet skirt
- Mandatory: 1/8 inch steel or ¼ inch aluminum plate must be used for drivers floor
- All cars must have an aluminum-racing seat and be fastened to the roll cage. Cable or tie straps must hook gas caps to
fuel cell
APPEARANCE
A sharp appearance attracts attention for all of us. Future sponsors will look upon the outside appearance of a car before
he looks at the inner workings. Fans cheer for the good lookers if they don’t have a favorite car when they come to
the track. Keep body appearance up by replacing parts and new paint jobs when ever possible. Any 1965 or newer car is permitted
in this class. No station wagons or four-wheel drives. Track officials will decide what is appropriate in this class. Door number MUST be a minimum 4" stroke, with 18" height in CONTRASTING COLOR. No reflective
Roof numbers mandatory, 4" x 20" solid numbers pointed to passenger side of car. No reflective #s or you may not be
scored.
BATTERY
May be located anywhere outside the driver’s compartment. It must arrive at the track fully charged, and must be
securely mounted and covered. Car must start under own power in the staging area, OR REPORT TO THE REAR OF THE EVENT.
- After market bodies are allowed.
- Spoilers: see illustration.
- Body must cover at least ½ of the tire.
- No side windows or air deflectors allowed.
- Driver must be able to exit from both sides of car with helmet on.
- Stock NOSE PIECES ONLY. NO altering of STOCK nosepiece allowed.
- Minimum roof height – 45", maximum deck height – 35".
- NO BOLTED SLAB SIDE BODIES (STRICTLY STOCK APPEARING BODIES, OR A POINTS PENALTY AND / OR A FINE PER WEEK).
- Slab side car may have at least 50 lb. added per side in front of bell housing.
- Rear roof sail panels will be no longer than 24" total maximum length.
- All roofs must be 41" from front to back minimum and 48" wide side-to-side minimum.
- Rounded and tapered stock appearing fiberglass roofs only!
- No partial roofs.
- No flat roofs.
- No tilted roofs.
- Roofs can be no more than 45" from front to back maximum and 54" from side to side maximum.
- No dished out roofs.
- No wings attached to roof or to side posts.
- No built in fiberglass air dams.
- Must be stock appearing.
- All roof posts must meet outside of car.
- Must be a full roof.
- Side vents on front roof post can extend back no further than 16" bottom, then straight up to roof for a L-configuration.
Side vents must meet outside of car.
- Front roof supports to be 2"x24".
- Rear roof post supports must meet outside of car on a flat straight line, and be stock appearing. Minimum width on bottom
– 18". Minimum widths on top – 8". Maximum width on bottom – 24". Maximum width on top – 12".
- Generic roof rear post must be 32" or greater from the rear of trunk.
- Stock appearing rear sail post must be pro approved, OEM size, and same make and model as nosepiece.
- All body sides from nose to tail on cars will have a visible bow outward and MUST have a break in bodyline.
- All Pro Stock cars MUST have a rear panel 8" minimum height, complete side to side, at 90-degree angle. Must be solid.
May have up to a 6" fuel filler door.
- Note: No flares or add on’s to nose piece.
- Tire must be visible from front of car.
- No Late Model style noses.
- Front bumper must be within 45" from the center of the front wheel and the rear bumper, 45" from the center of rear wheel.
- All structural tubing must remain inside body.
- Front & Rear bumpers not to extend beyond body, but must fill area inside panels, tolerance, 2" each side. Cannot
extend more than 8" out of body.
- Tires must be visible.
- Bumper heights must be 18" + or - 2" from ground.
- Interior of car must be 13 ½" below roll cage minimum and all area of roof, from front window to behind driver’s
seat. No area of the interior of cockpit can be less than 13 ½" below the roof and roll cage for safety. Easy exiting of car
from either side. Windows must have 13 ½" clearance straight up and down. No support bars blocking right exit from cockpit
allowed.
BRAKES
Stock four-wheel hydraulic brakes. All in working condition. Neal type brake assembly permitted. No shut-off valves. Steel,
single piston caliper only.
CARBURETOR
ONLY 1 Holly #4412--2 bbl (500 not 750) carburetor will be allowed. Absolutely no alterations or modifications to carburetor,
except for removal of choke plate. Altered carburetors will be CONFISCATED!
No transverse mount carburetors allowed, carburetor must be mounted in conventional manner. Aluminum intake manifolds will
be allowed. Only the following current production Weiland:
Chevy #7547, Ford #7515, Chrysler #7545
Edlebrock: Chevy #5001 & #5061, Ford #5021 & 2760, Chrysler

A 1” maximum height adapter plate ONLY. 1” total between intake and carburetor. Top 10 may have to pull carburetor
after every feature.
CLUTCH
No (in and out) boxes. Must all be clutch operated (with motor running and car in still position, driver must be able to
engage car in gear and move forward and backward at time of inspection). Clutch must be inside of bell housing.
DRIVE SHAFT
Steel drive shaft only, MUST be painted white and have
a steel driveshaft loop measuring 1/4” thick by 2 inches wide, located on the forward 1/3 to prevent
it from dropping onto the track.
ENGINE
Stock American engine. Number 1 spark plug MUST be in line with the ball joint. You may use roller rockers,
only with 1” minimum inspection hole in intake. No roller camshafts,
roller tip rockers are OK. NO ALUMINUM HEADS OR BLOCKS.
EXHAUST
I.M.C.A. Mufflers are MANDATORY .100-DECIBEL LIMIT. MUST BE AT THE END OF EXHAUST, may be added to your
current system. NO turndowns. Mufflers must be welded securely in
place. Loss of muffler may result in disqualification. Optional 1
¾” maximum primary tube headers.
FIREWALL
The firewall at the front of the cockpit shall be a wall of protection against fire from the engine compartment. It shall
be tightly solid from top to bottom. Not allowing airflow from the engine compartment to the cockpit.
FRAME
All Pro Stocks will have minimum 102" wheelbase. All vehicles will be stripped completely of interior, except driver’s
seat which will be securely fastened to the roll cage, and will be equipped with a head rest or a high back racing seat and
will be subject to local track inspection. UNIBODY CARS: Rear portion on unibody cars, starting at the leaf
spring mounts, may be fabricated or reinforced. The front sub and rear clip may be connected with MINIMUM 2"x2" square tubing.
No round tubing on the main frame rails. All spring and shock mounts must be in stock position. CAMARO AND FIREBIRD
FRONT SUB FRAMES OR UNIBODIED CARS MUST BE 1981 OR OLDER. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! ONLY TWO REPLACEMENT FRONT SUB’S ALLOWED.

FUELS
Racing fuel is ok. No alcohol or additives.
FUEL PUMP
No electric or belt driven fuel pumps allowed.
FUEL CELLS
MANDATORY. Tank construction, location and mounting are subject to inspection. A leaking tank is grounds
for disqualification. Must have bladder and check valve on fill pipe. Must have canister around tank. Must have approved loop
behind the fuel cell, minimum eight (8) inch clearance. Gas cap MUST be secured to fuel cell by cable, chain
or tie strap.
HUBS & WHEELS
Eight (8) inch wheels maximum. A commercial wheel is recommended. NO Wide
5s allowed. Car MUST be equipped with safety wheels on the right side and large safety lug nuts. BEAD LOCK
ON RIGHT REAR ONLY. NO PLASTIC OR CARBON FIBER WHEEL ALLOWED.
GLASS
Windshield optional. If used, it MUST be safety glass, Lexan, or heavy screen. No Plexiglas. Use
of Plexiglas will result in suspension for the night. This is subject to inspection. NO MIRRORS ALLOWED.
HOODS
Must be securely fastened, subject to track inspection. A air cleaner and fire arrestor are mandatory.
IGNITION
Any stock appearing distributor. Must accept stock distributor cap. No after market dual point ignition or magnetos allowed.
No crank fire ignitions. Only stock manufacturer bolt on type parts allowed. Ex: MSD or Accel replacement coils or modules
allowed providing it fits in stock location.
RADIOS
No radios, EXCEPT MANDATORY RACECEIVERS, allowed in car, or any pit member or anyone connected with the
racecar.
RADIATOR
Any type of radiator may be used. Must be in front of the car and not extend through the hood.
REAR AXLE
Locked rear-end MANDATORY. NO QUICK CHANGE REAR-ENDS.
ROLL CAGE
Must be Grand National design with upright supports. Must have halo bar. Four door bars are required in the driver’s
door. Cage construction should be a minimum of 1 ½" OD tubing (.095). No aluminum tubing. The driver’s
seat must be securely fastened at bottom and back of the roll cage. Must have steel plate 18" x 24" x 1/8" in the driver’s
door, must have steel plate 6" x 12" x 1/8" behind the seat in front of the trailing arms.
SEAT BELT
Must be racing type and quality. A 3" seat belt, 2" or 3" shoulder harness, and submarine straps are required and subject
to inspection. All belts must have manufacturers date not more than 3 years old (must be able to read date).
MANDATORY: All components MUST be fastened whenever car is on the track, during racing and
qualifying.
SHOCKS
One shock absorber per wheel. No air coil-overs or struts allowed on the front. Steel racing shocks are OK on the front
and rear. One 90/10 shock allowed mounted from top of rear end housing to roll cage.
SHOCK CLAIM
$50.00 per shock may claim any or all shocks, 1 claim PER DRIVER, PER SEASON. May claim anyone in the
top 4. MUST BE IN WRITING and given to tech inspector in the tech area within 5 MINUTES
of end of the feature. Must finish on the lead lap to be eligible to claim. FAILURE TO SELL: disqualified
for the night, loss of points and money for that night only. Must qualify from rear most spot the following week. This is
intended to keep the cost of this class down.
STARTER
MUST be in working order. ALL CARS MUST START UNDER THEIR OWN POWER IN THE STAGING AREA OR THEY
WILL GO TO THE REAR!
SUSPENSION
NO coil over springs. NO torque arms or torque links. NO aluminum suspension
pieces. All springs must be over 4 ½" in diameter. Front springs must be mounted in stock location. No adjustable
sway bars. Stock type mounted; steel cross shaft tubular upper control arms are permitted. No 5th coils. Screw jacks are allowed.
Heim joints may be all steel ¾" (minimum). No coil over eliminator. All brackets must be welded on rear end. No swing arm
suspension. 2 trailing arms, 1 pan hard bar, 1 pull bar or lift bar max.
TIRES
P245 approved American Racer tires only. Tire pressure must be at least 17 lbs on right rear, after each
race.
TRANSMISSION
Any transmission, manual or automatic. NO quick-change transmissions. Must have scatter shield or protective plate 180
degrees around clutch. If L-plate is used, 1/8” steel plate is minimum thickness that will be allowed. NO Bert type
transmissions. Must have a disengageable drive train. NO direct drive systems.
WEIGHT
3,000 lbs minimum. Added weight MUST be in plain sight, painted white or silver, MUST have the car number painted on it
in a contrasting color and must be readable. No cement or liquid style weights. Weights must be securely mounted to the car
with the minimum of two (2) ½" bolts and nuts per 50 pounds of weight. Loss of any weights may be grounds for disqualification.
No weight on rear bumper or outside body of the car.
WRECKER HOOKS
MANDATORY – FRONT AND REAR. Cable or chain preferred. Tow hook cannot extend in front of car. Both
must be easily accessible. If there are no wrecker hooks on the car, it will be pushed, towed, or dragged to the infield until
after the racing program is completed. A $10.00 fine may be assessed for no useable wrecker hooks. NEITHER WRECKER
CREWS NOR RACETRACK PERSONNEL WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO THE VEHICLE.
STEERING
Quick steers are OK. No rack and pinion steering.

cabs, or step sides. All structural tubing must remain inside body. All trucks must have complete bodies, hoods, and fenders.
Must be in top quality condition. All trucks must have cover on rear, where tailgate was, side to side bumper to bed cover.
Must have full bed cover. Rear must be solid, may have up to a 6" fuel filler door. Stock steel roof will be allowed on stock
steel-bodied trucks. Slab side truck may have at least 50 lb. added per side in front of bell housing.
Body must cover at least ½ of the tire. No side windows or air deflectors allowed. Driver must be able to exit from both
sides of truck with helmet on. Stock NOSE PIECES ONLY. NO altering of STOCK nosepiece allowed. Tire must be visible from front
of truck. Minimum roof height–55-1/2", maximum deck height–39"min.37". NO BOLTED SLAB SIDE BODIES, BOW MUST be
in center (STRICTLY STOCK APPEARING BODIES) OR WE WILL GO TO AFTER MARKET BODIES ONLY.
